Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
We collect as little about you as we can. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t need your name to read the site, contact us or send a correction.
What we collect
When you read the site
– Server logs. Our web host, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) to keep the site running and secure. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which also processes your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks. Both keep these logs for a limited period under their own policies, and we don’t use them to identify readers.
– Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies (listed below) and tells us things like the country, device type and pages viewed, not who you are. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
When you email us
– Whatever you choose to send: your message and the address you write from. You can leave out your name. We use it only to answer you and to act on what you sent.
Reddit posts shown on our pages
– Some reviews and guides show public Reddit posts using Reddit’s own embed. When a page with an embedded post loads, your browser connects to Reddit, which may set cookies and receive your IP address under Reddit’s privacy policy. We don’t receive any of that data.
The site has no comments, no newsletter, no accounts and no advertising.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent or share personal information with advertisers, manufacturers or sellers.
- We never publish personal information about anyone, including people who contact us or complain about a company. If you send us a tip or a complaint, we won’t name you or pass on your details without your explicit permission.
- We don’t run ads, and nothing on the site tracks you across other sites for advertising.
Cookies
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Tells one visitor’s visits apart from another’s, without identifying the person | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> |
Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
Reddit may set its own cookies on pages that show an embedded Reddit post. The site sets no other cookies for readers.
How long we keep it
- Emails: up to 12 months, then deleted, unless they relate to an ongoing correction or legal matter.
- Google Analytics: visit-level data for no more than 14 months. Google keeps aggregated totals, such as how many times a page was viewed, for longer; those don’t identify anyone.
- Server logs: for as long as Hostinger and Cloudflare keep them under their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you’re in the EU or UK you have these rights under the GDPR; if you’re in California, under the CCPA/CPRA. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes are noted here.
